NatWest is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Digital X team in Bangalore. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong experience in Java-based application development and financial technology platforms, particularly Murex.

As a Software Engineer, you will work within a feature team responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining business-critical software solutions. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, and business analysts to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications that support NatWest's digital banking ecosystem.

You will be involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to coding, testing, deployment, and operational support. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges while contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and software quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality software solutions.

Requirements:

• Background in Software Engineering, Software Design, and Software Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Core Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Experience working with Murex C2.
• Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience using Git, Bitbucket, and GitLab for source code management and collaboration.
• Exposure to Python modules and experience building Python test scripts and test cases.
• Experience working with development tools, testing tools, bug tracking tools, and documentation platforms.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Experience implementing software engineering best practices related to scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
